9.30.10

Just made a $91.00 trip to costco for the next two weeks. ?enus for the next week: chicken posole, pork roast, pizza and salad, zuchinni,green beans and cauliflower. I? Hoping to find an orphan zuchinni at work...but so far no dice.
In the home improvement area: roof and all associated work is finished, the acid stain on the basement floor is nearly finished, the new kitchen lighting is waiting to be wired, the woodshed was built from recovered wood, and the firewood is stacked. Everything was paid in cash. Our days of a vacation every couple of months are. Long gone!
The next focus will be to pay off the house asap. $1000.00 extra this month.

    I spent less than $100.00 this week at Costco and the checker said something was wrong.... he was making a joke.

    Buddy, you are quite the efficient person. I'm impressed with your home projects. My husband and I started paying $1K extra on our mortgage principal in July and we are so excited with the progress we've made. You can see it in side bar. I'm hoping to continue paying down the mortgage but we've encountered a setback. Hopefully we can resolve it by the next mortgage payment.

    not so efficient, we've just put everything else on hold to get this stuff completed. For years we'd waste our cash meals, clothes and trips to Reno, instead of putting it into projects. I think our impending age and the precarious job markets have finally caught our attention.
